The Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, also known as the Springville Cemetery, was founded in 1838 with the first burial there of L. J. Bradford 1802-1838. The cemetery appears to be well maintained with little evidence of vandalism. This is a true transcription of the readable markers in the cemetery and was conducted during October and November of 2011. My current policy is not to post the birthdate of the person unless I can ascertain that they are in fact deceased. Where I have added information from other sources, that information is contained in parenthesis. Information in asterisks is from the marker itself. Sources of information include the Birmingham News obituaries, the Social Security Death Data Base, Alabama death records, the Soldiers and Sailors Civil War Data Base and the Historical Atlas of Alabama, Volume 2, Cemeteries by County.
