This small African American cemetery is located on Morgan Street just about a block from Queenstown Road. The residence at 5584 Morgan Street is directly across the road from the cemetery. The year 1988 seems to be the earliest burial date although there may be older graves that are unmarked. There appears to be several recent burials with no markers as of yet. According to residents, the cemetery was deeded to the Alton First Baptist Church in 1993. This transcription is complete as to the readable stones in the cemetery. It was conducted in March, 2009.
