McCombs Cemetery
Irondale, Jefferson County, Alabama

McCombs cemetery is located at the end of Mountain View Road in Irondale, Alabama near the intersection of I-459 and Derby Parkway. The closest mailing address to the cemetery is 2000 Mountain View Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35210. The first burial in McCombs Cemetery was William "Uncle Billy" McCombs in 1896. The cemetery is well maintained and fenced. An unpaved road continues about two hundred yards from the end of Mountain View Road through a wooded area to the cemetery. A locked gate prevents vehicles from traveling down this road unless the cemetery is open for a special occasion.

There are several handwritten foot stones that are unreadable. There has also been some vandalism to a few stones. This transcription was conducted in August, 2008 and is a true and accurate transcription of all the readable stones in the cemetery. The Historical Atlas of Alabama contains no historical information for this cemetery.
