The cemetery is located on the east side of U.S. Highway 11 (Gadsden Highway) across from the church which is at 8762 Gadsden Hwy. Although the church has a Trussville mailing address, it is located in the town of Argo and has always been identified with the Argo Community.

The Central Baptist Cemetery is located across the street from the Central Baptist Church, which was founded in August of 1851. This means the cemetery perhaps was established sometime after that date.

It is unknown when the first burial took place in the cemetery but the oldest marked grave is that of Francis M. Frazier who died on May 5, 1860. The cemetery is well maintained and has had very little vandalism. There are some stones which have been rendered unreadable by the elements. The cemetery is well fenced and visible from the highway and from the church.

This is a complete listing of all existing and legible stones in the cemetery, taken from a survey of the cemetery, which I conducted Apr 09-12, 2007.
